A place or people are identified with the local culture. There are many aspects of culture the language, clothes, food and etc.
Dance and drama are fine arts efficient fine arts’ tools to convey moral and spiritual messages. Previously, all dance and drama were centered on such themes and thus were very educational and beneficial to the common people, a total contrast to modern dance and drama.
Students rehearsed to develop a dance ballet for two songs- Jiva jago and Bhajahu re mana. The Vaisnava songs by our Acaryas are full of transcendental instructions and very soothing to the heart.
In addition to dance and drama, our devotees practiced around seven small skits in the evening hours and a few skits were performed on the festival days. Skits require less time to practice and one can use simple costume with little or no facial make up. They are also an effective medium of instruction. Often skits will be very entertaining, especially for the younger children.
