Agriculture is a very important activity in a Varnasrama society. But the modern practices, grounded in excessive greed and oriented towards “Agribusiness”, have meddled with the traditional practices and the result is that the food instead of nourishing is poisoning the people.
Thus, in Varnasrama College the KRISHI course was designed to educate students about the hazards of modern agricultural practices, types of agriculture practices, different stages in agriculture from sowing to reaping and alternatives for the modern practices. After a few days of theory, the students were brought to the field - learning and assisting HG Giriraj prabhu.
